When should I pay for it?

The time to purchase your travel insurance is before you pay a deposit for your travel in case you should have to cancel your trip due to unforeseen circumstances. If you pay for your insurance at the deposit stage, you will be covered immediately for Loss of Deposits/Cancellation, the rest of your cover starting on the commencement date of your overseas travel.

How should I pay?

Simply download the Application Form - COMPREHENSIVE POLICY and complete it. You as the insured are required to personally sign the Application Form. Capital Financial Services Limited will confirm cover to you and inform you of the exact premium payable. You will then be required to forward to them a cheque to cover this.

Comprehensive policy

If you are unsure would like more information please email: capital@anet.co.nz. Click here to view and print an application form to get your travel insurance. (The form must be signed so can not be sent electronically).

Insurance is available for 3 days to 12 months - to assist you to calculate the premium, you should take the number of days/months below the period you want and for each additional day add $6.00. e.g. for 20 days the premium is estimated to be not more than $179.00 (10 days premium is $119 plus 10 days @ $6 per day).

The premiums quoted are based on:

  • An INDIVIDUAL being one person plus up to 2 DEPENDANT CHILDREN under 21 years of age who are not self supporting.
  • LOSS OF DEPOSITS/CANCELLATION cover starts as soon as pay for your policy.
  • CHANGE OF HEALTH - after you have purchased your policy you must inform the MEDICAL HOTLINE on 0800 800 357 of any change of health that occurs before you depart n your trip. The insurer is not obliged to insure this change.
  • An excess on the policy of $75 per event - you may arrange, for an additional premium to have a NO EXCESS policy.

Capital Financial Services Limited is the agent and in that capacity it arranges the policy on your behalf with the insurers. It takes no other part in this transaction other than arranging the policy with the insurer.

Under PLAN C as covered here, the destinations that you visit can include:

Vietnam, UK, Thailand, Sri Lanka, South Pacific, South & Central America, Singapore, Philippines, Pakistan, Nepal, Mongolia, Middle East, Malaysia, Korea, Ireland, Indonesia, India, French Polynesia, China, Brunei, Bali, Australia, Africa and up to 6 days in USA, Japan, Hawaii, Europe, Canada or Antarctica.

For details of premiums for other destinations, simply complete the application form and submit it taking particular care to advise the destination and duration details.
